Welcome to Berkshire Township, Delaware County, Ohio

The old barn which stood on the Township property when it was purchased was cost prohibitive to restore. It was taken down by Finish Line Building, and we are happy to report that much of the old wood and timber will be used in homes constructed by the builder. A Hilliard family came to see the barn before demolition began and was thrilled to learn of the history they will be inheriting in their new residence. The silo will remain, in hopes of becoming a Berkshire "landmark" as we develop our land in the future. Have an idea or wish list for our beautiful Rome Corners property? Share it with us!

These may not look like anyone in your family but we are looking for some vintage photos of Berkshire Township. We would not need to

Carol Deyo is a longtime Berkshire resident, and one of the original supporters of our park. When her husband Chuck passed away, she wanted to donate something lasting to the township in memory of Chuck.

keep your originals, but if you have photos of scenes in the township with historic buildings, farm equipment, family members, etc. and if you would be willing to have them reproduced and hung in the Township Hall, we'd love to talk. Township Receives a Gift!

Taking our past into the future...

Additional seating for the park was on our "wish list", so a scarlet and gray glider for the the park seemed ideal. Chuck played football under Woody Hayes, won a coveted pair of "gold pants" for beating the team up north, was a successful high school coach for many years, and after earning his pilots license, retired from The Ohio State University airport at Don Scott Field. Thank you, Carol, for your generous gift. We are anxious for spring to arrive so all can enjoy. If you would like to discuss a "Legacy Donation" to the park, please contact Shawna at Berkshire.Shawna@gmail.com
